Support for Children. Guidance for Caregivers. Steps Toward Safety.

Evolve Safe Steps provides outpatient specialized treatment for school-age children (7-14) with problematic sexual behaviors (PSB) and their caregivers. Through assessment, caregiver involvement, and individualized treatment planning, we help families work toward safer behaviors, healthy boundaries, and stronger relationships.

Understanding Your Child's Needs

“Initiating youth” describes a child who initiated PSB. “Impacted youth” describes a child affected by that behavior. A child may have experienced both.

Assessment helps determine appropriate treatment and support for each child, including whether Problematic Sexual Behavior Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (PSB-CBT), trauma-focused services, or other referrals are appropriate.

Our Approach

Caregiver Involvement

Parents and primary caregivers actively participate in treatment, learning strategies to support supervision, healthy boundaries, and skills practice at home.

Practical Skills

Children practice sexual behavior rules, coping skills, self-control, and communication with trusted adults.

Safety Planning

Individualized plans address supervision, privacy, and boundaries while considering the safety of initiating youth, impacted youth, and other children.
